Fabric care of Calico

Calico is usually made from pure cotton, but, on occasions, can be mixed with synthetic material. It is uncoloured and has a slightly rough texture to it. Wash as for cotton when it is a synthetic mix. If you need to whiten calico, do so in the first wash by adding a drop of white spirit to the water.
