Canvas is a very strong fabric mainly used for making bags and for upholstery. It has a slightly rough finish and is usually left in its natural colour. Wash with detergent and warm water. Scrub with a nail brush to remove stubborn marks. Now made from a variety of fibres including cotton and synthetic.
