Fabric care of Polyester

Submitted by Peter

A synthetic fiber, though sometimes blended with natural fibers, it is easy to care for and very versatile, lending itself to woven or knitted textures. Machine wash according to the label. Most polyesters will machine wash at code 3 for white and 4 for coloreds. Hand washing should be done in hand hot water. Water above that temperature will damage the fibers. Never boil. A cold rinse and a short spin will ensure that there are few creases. Some fabrics, especially those with pleats, are best drip-dried — study the care label. A cool iron will get rid of any creases when the fabric is dry.

No Stain Info Comments By: Jan
This was a general washing tip (for polyester). I was looking for stain removal, which was what I initially clicked on, but stain removal was not mentioned.

Tipking says: I agree this is just general advice for care of polyester
