How to stop a nosebleed

Submitted by Kevin Thompson

To stop a nosebleed I take some nose tissue or bath tissue and roll it into a rod about the diameter of a pencil. It should be about two inches long.

I then pet this between my upper lip and upper gum and squeeze the rod against my gum with my upper lip. While doing this, I breathe in through my nose and out my mouth.

It does work but not for a chronic nose bleed that continues to release clots.
