Visitors tips No plumbing for a washing machine?

Submitted by Claire - Brighton

Does the flat you've just moved into not have or not allow you to have plumbing for your washing machine?

Buy a cheap shower hose (but dont fit the spray attachment) Attach to your kitchen taps as normal and hook the other end into your soap drawer (works better if it has a ridge to attach more securely)

Start the program and watch the water fill up - the cycle should start when there is enough water in. Turn the tap off. The water will drain as normal then just turn the tap on again and wait for it to drain until the cycle is complete.

Don't forget to put your drain hose in the sink.

It is a bit complicated but better/cheaper than the launderette!
