Home made Barley water has proved very effective for me. Boil up half a cup of pearl barley with a litre of water- an hour on the stove or 20mins in a pressure cooker, strain off the water and drink it over the course of the day. I also added some of the cooked barley to porridge oats for breakfast and ate the rest with a veggie stir fry for supper. All the painful symptoms gone.
NB I did the bicarbonate of soda tip yesterday and stopped drinking Cranberry Juice which has too much sugar in it.
