Badminton volleyball Play badminton over a volleyball net using volleyball rules.

Frisbee golf Use trees, poles and rocks as holes and designate tee-off spots. Throw a Frisbee and keep throwing it from where it lands until you land at a 'hole'. The person who takes the fewest throws to hit all holes is the winner. Assess a penalty point whenever the Frisbee lands on a spot from which it can't be thrown.

Word spell One person says a letter and the next person adds another letter to logically spell a word. Play continues around the room, with the object being not to complete a word; giving the last letter of any word costs you a point. For example, if the existing letters are t and a, add ac, perhaps (for tack), or an i (for tail). Ab (tab) or g (tag) would complete the word and penalise you 1 point - 5 points and you're out. In case of a challenge, you must identify the word you have in mind or lose a point. The winner is the last person left.

Call my Bluff The player who is 'it' picks an obscure word from the dictionary, states it, and writes its definition on a card; the other players write what they think the word might mean. The cards are shuffled and the definitions read aloud by the 'it' player; then each player guesses which definition is correct. The 'it' player keeps score, awarding 1 point for guessing correctly and 1 point for fooling someone with a false definition. He himself gets 5 points if no one guesses the word. The game continues until each player has been 'it'.

Gomuku This Japanese noughts and crosses game uses a grid of 19 horizontal and 19 vertical lines. One player places Xs, the other Os on the intersections of the lines. The first to place five letters in a row wins.
