If you are tired of wasting money on
cucumbers that rot too quickly? Hate to reach into your veggie bin only to get a
handful of mush? This is a tip
that I got from a produce manager of my local market.
To keep cucumbers fresh
longer, when you get them home from the market, simply wrap each one in a paper
towel or two. Place them in your veggie bin and they will keep fresh for 2
weeks. If you think it re-wrap with a fresh paper towel, but it isn't really
necessary. Note: even if you use part of one, just re-wrap the un-used portion
with a paper towel.
