Never replace a fuse with one of a higher rating, and never use a coin, a piece of aluminium foil or any other object in place of a fuse. Doing so could cause a fire.
The power surge that occurs when starting up motorised equipment can cause a fuse to blow. If this is a persistent problem, install a time-delay fuse.
If fuses blow regularly, call in an electrician. It may be time to rewire your home or at least older circuits.
