Mouth Ulcers - Home remedy if you have mouth ulcers

I suffered for around six years with painful mouth ulcers and nothing I tried on the market made any real difference.
 
About a year ago I found out I was anaemic and took a course of ferrous iron sulphate tablets.  Initially I took three 200mg tablets a day, and over the following twelve months reduced down to one a day then one or two a week.  After a couple of weeks my anaemia was much better, but unexpectedly all my mouth ulcers had cleared up too. I still take one or two tablets a week for maintenance and haven't been troubled with them for the last twelve months.
 
It doesn't matter which brand you take, I just buy them over the counter at Boots/Tesco etc.  It's important not to take too much iron as (like any other substance) it's poisonous in large doses.  I don't know what the link is between iron and mouth ulcers but it's certainly worked for me!
