Depending on how you look at it, the office may be the best or the worst place to find someone special. On the one hand, it's an ideal setting in which to get to know someone well. On the other hand, mixing business and pleasure can jeopardise your job, your relationship or both.
Before getting too involved with a colleague, weigh up the risks carefully - a relationship with the boss is especially dangerous. If you do decide to go out together, keep your behaviour at work strictly professional - don't call each other by pet names, don't display affection publicly, and don't spend hours chatting on the phone or in the corridors. And don't discuss your romance with other colleagues.
No matter how discreet you both try to be, sooner or later teasing or gossip is bound to begin. If you're not prepared to accept this, don't start a relationship.
Bear in mind that romances often go sour, and if this one does, you and your co-worker will still have to face each other every day.
