Slugs and snails - Household hints and tips

Spread a circle of ash or grit around seedlings. Slugs and snails don't like them and will keep away.

Sprinkle salt on slugs to kill them. Stage an evening raid in the garden, salt cellar in hand; sprinkle each slug once, then again in 5 minutes.

Slugs and snails can be easily captured in an empty half grapefruit inverted on the soil. Leave it overnight and they will have congregated inside.

well, you mentioned the slugs but your title is a bit misleading as I was searching for tips for slugs in the house

I don't understand how they get in and the slime is
everywhere how do u get rid of it

I'm looking for a solution to get rid of slugs in the house. I see the slug slime on my carpet. How can I find them and rid myself of them or it.
