Instead of buying expensive shaving foams/gels/creams for shaving legs, bikini area and underarms, use talcum powder. Just put a about a tablespoon of talc in the hand and rub it over the area in question, then use the razor as normal. The talc creates a silky smooth surface which the razor glides over and I found that the the little "nicks" and small spots that bleed profusely are very much minimised by using the talc method. Finish off by rinsing the area and then use a moisturising cream. This stops any redness developing. To keep the razor clean during the process, just keep wiping it on some damp toilet tissue.
I have found this to be a great success.
