If the metal lid on a jar is stuck so tight you can't open it, tap the side of the lid smartly on the kitchen counter. Loosens the stuck lid every time.

Jar lid stuck!! Comments By: Anon Excellent tip - used it to open a very stubborn jar of pasta sauce - it was the only one i had and I couldn't bear a trip to the shop for another!!!
