Vaseline cure for hairballs.....

To prevent troublesome hairballs, apply a dollop of vaseline petroleum jelly to your cat's nose. The cat will lick off the jelly, lubricating any hair in its stomach so it can pass easily through the digestive system.

This works very well Comments By: anon and is certainly less expensive than purchasing hairball remedies (which are basically vaseline with a flavor added).   hairballs Comments By: rose Plain old canned pumpkin...Some cats will eat by itself, others you may need to add to small amount of canned food. Just give 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon 2 or 3 times a week. the extra fiber will work the hair through and it's added benefits are the vitamins and minerals your cat will get too.
