Miscellaneous Lighting for elderly

My 87-year-old Dad lives with us, and is up several times at night to use the bathroom. Afraid of falling, we created a light path for him along the baseboards with tube lights, the kind that look like white Christmas lights in a clear tube.

Make sure they are tacked close to the baseboard and no cords in the way. It not only creates just the right level of liht, it helps him find his way when he wakes up a little confused.

you would improve the lighting for your father by using red to orange spectrum, as it will not affect his photobiological rhythm.
