Ironing. Tap water will do when ironing

Ordinary tap water may be used in a steam iron if l tbsp (20ml) ammonia is used to each cup of water. Ammonia softens the water. Ammoniated water also makes for smoother ironing.

You can also use melted ice from the fridge tray as sterilized water for your steam iron.
