Cure for hard water

If your water tends to be on the hard side there are a few things that you can do.

If lathering is difficult in the bath tub then add about 1/2 a cup of baking soda (bicarbonate of soda)to the water. It should soften the water considerably.

The same can be done on a smaller scale for rinsing your hair in the sink
