Diabetics. Tip for diabetics when traveling

If you have diabetes and take insulin, you have special travel concerns. In addition to the usual traveler's worries, you have to deal with syringes and medication. You can bring along an empty peanut butter jar to dispose of your used syringes.

Any plastic jar with a screw-on lid should do the trick. While you're at it, get a note from your doctor saying you need to carry syringes because of a medical condition. That way, you won't get hassled by airport security. Also, buy a small thermal insulated lunch bag to keep your medication cool.
