Teenage sweating here is an effective antiperspirant

Submitted by Barbara Yearby

Teenagers are particularly prone to sweat, but it happens to the best of us. Baking soda used as a powder absorbs chemicals and can help to eliminate this problem. Locate a powder puff and a container that had lady's powder in it. This makes a great applicator. A shallow bowl with a purchased powder puff and a lid is a good substitute. Fill your container with baking soda and apply as necessary with the puff. Also, try to find Arm and Hammer baking soda deodorant as it works well to do away with sweat and odors. Cornstarch is another wetness and odor eliminator. Try sprinkling either baking soda or cornstarch into your shoes in order to keep them smelling fresh and clean.

Sweat stains and baking soda Comments By: anon
This is correct, I also heard that just sprinkling some baking soda on the deoderant keeps the odor away AND prevent sweat stains. I am a teenager and sweat stains have been a problem especially on white shirts. This tip seems to work well.

could it be? a cure? Comments By: pickle
well, i have always had a huge problem with underarm sweat, its as if i have an over-active sweat gland, even when im inactive i would develope big sweat stains, once i turned into a teen, i started wearing black and dark blue shirts cause it made the sweat stains unoticable, but im gonna try this :) all deodorants and antipersiprants have failed me, they actually made me sweat even more, and i used to think antiperspirant was a myth,,ill try the baking soda =)

ive been getting really down about my underarm sweat problem recently, ive had it for about 2 years now,and its really embarassing,ive tried so many deoderants but they never work,i have to pick out different clothes to that the sweat patches wont show,sometimes i dont even go out with mates/dates because its so embarassing, ive heard that to get rid of it you have to have at least 50 botox injections....But i was wondering if their was a simpler way to get rid of it?

i hope this works :] Comments By: asdfjkl;
i really hope this works. ive had sweat problems for 3 years and i always have to pick out lightly colored tops so that the wetness wont show during shool, and even then i still feel uncomfortable. so im going to give this a try :]

if you suffer from the medical condition hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), then you might want to do what I did because it worked for me. Iontophoresis machines are available from www.sweatguard.co.uk.
