Paste Glue. Make your own paste glue

You can make home made paste and let the kids have a great time building a popsicle house or a card house using this recipe: 

Use 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 quart water, 1 tablespoon powdered alum, 1/2 teaspoon oil of cloves.

Mix together the flour and the sugar and you should be sure to stir in slowly 1/4-cup water. Bring the rest of the water to a boil in a seperate bowl or pan. Then you will need to add the flour and sugar mix to the boiling water, stirring constantly. Boil and stir until clear, you are making glue!

Add alum, stir thoroughly, and then add cloves.  You should keep covered and dry for storing in a cool place.
