Need a rain jacket fast? Get a garbage bag

Perhaps you are off to a football, soccer, baseball or other outdoor activity and it is raining buckets - you don't have a rain jacket? Take a big garbage bag, rip a hole for your head and for your arms, and get out there. At least you are better protected and you can get out and see the game.
