After handwashing delicate laundry or woollens, add an eggcupful of Eau de cologne or aftershave lotion (budget brand)to the rinsewater. Lather will dissipate and the garment will dry more quickly as the water runs out of it. If you use lavender water, moth infestation will be prevented too. everything will smell nice.
