Sprite for Sore Throats

When I have a strep or a sore throat, I like drinking Sprite. I don't know why, but it always soothes my throat. It probably sounds weird because the bubbles may seem like it would irritate it, but it doesn't. 

Sprite right out of the bottle drunk from a straw really works for me.
