To keep woollen blankets soft

To keep woollen blankets and cotton clothing feeling soft, simply wash in a solution of soap flakes. The traditional way is to thoroughly dissolve the flakes in warm water, before adding cold water to bring the water to the required temperature.

Place the garments in the solution, gently squeezing the soapsuds through the material. Continue this for around five minutes to thoroughly clean the items, before rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water.
