INSTANT RELIEF for agonizing earache!

I don't know about the mouthwash trick, but i just discovered INSTANT RELIEF for my excruciating, agonizing earache! My best friend once told me her doctor gave her ear drops with lidocaine when she has earaches...after searching through every cabinet at my house and then my mom's...i found a tube of Orajel, the label read 20% benzocaine.

Well, I filled my ear canal (GENTLY) and put a little piece of a cotton ball just inside my ear...within SECONDS, the pain started diminishing and in less than 5 minutes my earache is barely noticeable!! It's 1 hour later and still no pain! Hope this is safe and helps another poor soul.

Wow are you crazy. But what ever works. I am at work while my hubby is at home with our son. He has had ear problems for years and i just might go home and try that!! MIGHT I said... Hope you can hear when you are dont with all that stuff in your ear.

my mother used cream for years from doc as she had a burst ear drum and she had no problems with hearing so it must work

I was desperate a few moments ago. I had to do something about this ear pain. It makes sense that the benzocaine would work, so I try it and it worked right away. I also put the flashlight up to my ear to warm it a little earlier, but I think with this kind of pain I would need more batteries. I do not really care about hearing out of it at the moment, but I still think I will check up with a dr. tomorrow.
