Chicken tacos & Homemade salsa!

Submitted by Ket

When I make chicken tacos I boil the skinless chicken, makes it easier to remove the gross stuff, thenI put the poultry into the food processor for a minute or less, personal preference. I then put the chicken into a pan and add the seasonings packet, adding a little extra water if necessary. simmer for about a 1/2 hour or until most of the water is gone. top with your favorite toppings...

Here is an easy salsa recipe...and tastes great you can alter this to your personal tastes...

  • 1 bunch cilantro, remove stems
  • 1 green jalapeno pepper, include seeds
  • 1 yellow jalapeno pepper, include seeds
  • 3/4 of a yellow onion
  • 1 large 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 3 or so cloves garlic
  • dash or two of salt
  • 2-3 medium to large ripe tomatoes, diced

I use a food processor to make this, but it can be made by dicing all ingredients.

Wash the veggies!!!

After stripping the leaves off the cilantro, place into food processor, cut the stems off the peppers, peel the onion, add the other ingredients EXCEPT THE RIPE DICED TOMATOES chop for just a few seconds, decide if you like the look if so, remove from food processor to bowl and add the diced tomatoes. chill for about an hour.

**you can make this really hot by adding a part of an entire Habanero pepper (little orange ones), these are really hot and it is suggested that you wear gloves while handling them and remember to NOT TOUCH YOUR EYES

Enjoy!!!

This sounds a really tasty recipe, especially the homemade salsa.

I will be giving it a try very soon.

Thanks for another idea.
