Books Insulation

Submitted by Ian

Book-filled shelves on exterior walls help to keep heat in and the cold out; and they will also muffle sound between one room and the next. Clamp Hold freshly-glued surfaces together by weighing them down with heavy books, such as dictionaries or atlases.

One portion of a wall in my master bedroom has a bookshelf, loaded with books. Also, I have several other large pieces of furniture in the same room that have provided excellent insulation during the cold winter months.
