Whiter teeth Lemon juice

Lemon juice will actually remove tartar (plaque). Drink a little lemon juice in a glass of hot water. This also makes a good mouthwash. WARNING See comments

hell no! Comments By: MP dental Hygienist UK
This is a big no no! Lemon juice is very acidic and will cause untold erosion of dental enamel, especially using as a mouthwash, toothbrushing after this will exacerbate the problem. Ultimateley the enamel will become very thin and translucent, and fragile and certainly no whiter.

Dont ever do that. You get a really big heart burn and your throat gets swollen so dont try it ever. Im a dentist and my husband is a doctor and he and I wrote this.

this is the dumbest thing i ever heard. orange juice, pop, and several fruits are bad enough for your teeth. I know from personal experience. My front teeth are becoming translucent and I try my best to avoid carbonated beverages and oranges. I use a straw if I really want to drink pop (and don't swish around). If you happen to love lemon make sure you swish water in your mouth to dilute the acid as much as you can. Don't brush your teeth after eating lemon, as this is equivalent to using a household cleaner and a brush to scrub away your enamel.

Lemons can be brilliant Comments By: Shar
Lemons do not always wreck ones teeth. I have been eating lemons raw since I was young. I have had no fillings, and my teeth are strong and healthy...and WHITE.
The trick is to brush your teeth straight after you eat a lemon...that way the residue does not sit on your teeth all day...because that may indeed wear your enamel down.

i dont think so. Comments By: erin
as the previous comments have shown, lemons are very bad for your teeth as they cause enamel erosion. however if you're craving them, then it is okay to eat as much as you want, just as long as you brush your teeth after
