I knew a Native American with hair to his waist and it was so healthy looking. I asked him how he did it and he said on every full moon he got his hair all wet, wrang it out, and while still very damp, put it in a pony tail and burned the ends of the hair about 1/2 inch. He never cut with scissors because it split the ends. He said fire sealed the ends shut. Now I do it and it's working! He also said to use Horse Hair conditioner.
