Have you ever been caught out in the middle of nowhere with a broken fan belt. Well if you can lay your hands on the leg of a pair of stockings, panty hose or tights, simply tie it tight around the cogs where the broken fan belt was. Try and trim off any loose bits that are flapping around. It is a temporary emergency measure that will get you to a garage.
If there is any alternative to this measure then do it. Call your breakdown service or any help you can get.
