Old Boots make a great Umbrella stand

Stuff the bottom of an attractive old leather boot (a riding boot, perhaps) or a tall rubber boot with newspaper and then pebbles or marbles. Place it next to your front or back door for wet umbrellas. Change the newspaper from time to time.
