Coffee. Tips to remove Coffee stains

Coffee in your carpeting can be brought out with out leaving a dark stain. Just use these tips to bring coffee stains out of your carpet:

First thing that you need to do when you have a coffee spill is to blot the coffee up with a paper towel or a cloth. Blotting the area but not rubbing will bring up the excess liquid and then you can focus on bringing up the stain. Using a mixture of one cup of vinegar and two cups of water, apply this to the stain and blot up with a towel.

Be sure to keep using a clean part of your towel so you can see if more stain is being brought up. Dont pour the mixture on the carpet as this can spread the stain out, but spray it on the carpet using a spray bottle. If the coffee was a bit on the weak side, you could try using clear water and a cloth to spray on the stain and blot up to bring up light coffee stains.

If the coffee was a bit dark, adding three tablespoons of dish detergent that does not contain bleach and spraying the area, you can blot the moisture up and bring the stain up. Repeat as needed to bring out all the coffee. When you find you have too much moisture to blot effectively, use your shop vac to bring larger amount of the coffee up and then attack the stain with a spray mixture.

Stubborn stains can be brought up using a mixture of one-cup peroxide and two cups of cool water. Spraying this mixture over the stain and blotting up after you have let it sit for about an hour will get that stain out.
