Shoe polish. Tips to remove Shoe polish stains on carpets

Sometimes you will be polishing your shoe and set it down and the polish will rub on the carpet, but you can get this stain out using this method:

No matter if the stain is dry or still wet, you can proceed and work that shoe polish stain out using rubbing alcohol on the shoe polish stain. Put the rubbing alcohol on your cloth and dab at the stain. Dont rub the shoe polish stain out any further if you have spilled a lot, and dont pour the rubbing alcohol on the carpet, just dab at the stain with your cloth to bring out the stain.

After you have been working, with the rubbing alcohol and you arent bringing up any more coloring from the shoe polish, use a mixture of two cups of water and two tablespoons of dish liquid, non bleach type and clear. Spray this on the stain and continue dabbing at the stain, changing your cloth around so you will know if you are still bringing up more of the shoe polish stain or not, and then repeat until you are no longer bringing out any more shoe polish stain or the stain is gone.

Rinse out your carpet using just water and a clean cloth. Spray and dab the area to bring out any remaining soap and loosen stain. Allow this to dry for about an hour. If when you are cleaning the carpet you spill too much water you can use the wet dry vac and clean the water up so you can work on the shoe polish color stain with out having to deal with excess liquid.

If you still have a little stain in the carpeting, use a spray of peroxide on the stain. Let it dry, and repeat spraying until the stain is completely gone.
