Watercolor paints. Tips to remove Watercolor paints stains on carpets

Watercolors stains on your carpeting can be removed using these easy to use tips:

Using a paper towel or a clean cloth, blot up the liquid that is in the carpeting. Continue this until you arent bringing up any more excess liquid from the carpet.

Your next step in cleaning this stain is to use a spray bottle, add a 1/8-cup of ammonia and a cup of water. Spray this on the stained area and continue blotting up the moisture. Do not pour this mixture directly on the carpeting as it can damage your padding. Clean with the ammonia mixture until you are not bringing up any additional watercolors.

Make a spray mixture of two cups of water and a tablespoon of clear non-bleach liquid soap. Spray this on the stained area and dab up with a clean towel. Continue until your watercolor stain is gone or you are not bringing up any more colors.

Rinse the carpeting with a clear water spray and dab up. Bring out all the soap and ammonia, and additional coloring in the carpeting. Dry by blotting with a clean paper towel or cloth. Let the area dry for about an hour.

If you find that you still have more watercolor stain in the carpeting, spray peroxide on the stain and dab it up with your towel. Continue until the stain is completely gone.
