Smoke stains from fires that were close to the fabric would not come out. If the fabric was hanging on a metal hanger, the metal marks on the material will not come out.
If the stain is very light, and the fabric far from the original fire you can launder the material in clear liquid detergent, with or without bleach as the material notes that you can. This may bring out most of the stain, and you may have to wash it two or three times before you notice if the stain is really coming out.
Do not dry the items in the dryer until the entire stain is gone.
