Double sided tape, tape that has been on fabric for a long time, and glue like - air plane glue or duct tape residue can all leave a sticky mess on your fabrics and clothing. Use these tips to get that sticky mess off your fabric.

Put the clothing in the freezer, let the sticky stuff get hard so you could scrape it off, break it off and peel the sticky glue off of the fabric. Use a butter knife, your fingernails, or a spoon to scrape off the residue.

Apply a liquid detergent over the sticky residue and scrub with a toothbrush or a soft brush.

Rinse the fabric using the hottest water possible for the fabric.

Re inspect the fabric to make sure the residue is off the fabric, if you find some remaining put the stain side of the fabric down and apply a few drops of dry cleaning fluid to the glue residue.

Let the fabric dry and then launder as usual.
