Dairy products. Tips to remove Dairy products stains

There are many type of dairy product stains that you can get on fabrics like cottage cheese, real butter, yogurt and many others. Use these cleaning tips to work out those dairy product stains in your fabrics.

Treating the stain as soon as it occurs is going to give you a much higher success rate but dried stains can still be gotten out.

If the stain is fresh, be sure to blot up any excess liquid in the fabric. If the stain is older and dry, scrape off the dried dairy stain using your fingernail or a butter knife. Try not to stretch the material too much and not to snag the fabric you are working with for the best results.

Pre treat with a stain stick or spray, letting the fabric sit for about ten minutes and then soak the fabric in a bucket of cold water overnight.

Apply clear liquid laundry detergent to the stained area and launder as usual.  Re inspect the stained area before drying. If the stain is gone you can dry the fabric.

If the stain remains, soak the fabric in a bucket with three gallons of water and two cups of bleach.  Soak the fabric for about ten minutes.

Rinse the fabric and start over from the pre treatment if the stain still remains in the fabric.
