Glue, airplane glue. Tips to remove airplane glue stains from clohes and fabric

Adhesives like glue, airplane glue and two-sided tape can often leave a sticky mess on fabrics.  Use the following cleaning advice when you are faced with an adhesive glue or airplane glue sticky mess.

The first thing that you should do is scrape off any excess stickiness that you can using a butter knife or your finger nails. Be sure not to stretch out the fabric or snag the fabric if at all possible for the best results.

Apply a stain remover stick or spray to the glue stained area. Let this sit for about ten minutes.

Apply a good amount of liquid laundry detergent to the stained area, working the detergent in with your fingers or a soft brush like a toothbrush. This will loose some of the glue.

Rinse the fabric well and re inspect the stained area, pull off more of the sticky glue if you can using your fingers.

For really tough glue stains, put the stain side down and apply a few drops of dry cleaning solution to the stained area. Let this dry and then launder as usual for a great clean!
