Rubber cement. Tips to remove Rubber cement stains on upholstery

If you have a rubber cement stain on your upholstery, use these cleaning tips to work out that tough stain. Repeat as needed to get all of the rubber cement out of your upholstery.

If the stain is still wet, blot up as much of the rubber cement as you can. Try not to make the stain larger, scraping off if needed using a plastic spoon or plastic butter knife.

Using a cotton ball wet with nail polish remover, dab at the rubber cement stain and blot with a clean towel. Repeat this as needed to remove all of the rubber cement.

If you find that you still have some stain on your upholstery, make a mixture of water and a few drops of clear bleach free liquid detergent.

Spray the area, and then blot or dab until you have removed the rubber cement stain completely.

Rinse the area with a spray of water, dabbing and blotting leaving very little moisture or suds in the upholstery.
