Egg. Tips to remove Egg stains on upholstery

Egg stains could be from scrambled eggs, dippy eggs, or from raw eggs dripping on the upholstery.

If you have found an egg stain, it is best to deal with the stain while it is fresh, but using these cleaning tips you can get out those stains that are already dried, just repeat the cleaning tips a few times and the egg stain will come out.

The first thing you should do if the stain is still wet is use a spoon to scoop up all the excess egg, wet or cooked, you need to get it off the upholstery. When you are working on raw egg you can usually get most of it up using a few clean paper towels to tackle the mess.

Rinse the stained area with a spray of water, dabbing and blotting the stained area to bring out and loosen the stain.

Make a mixture of water and a few drops of dish liquid or detergent without bleach.Spray the stained area and then dab and blot the area, bringing more of the stain out.

Rinse the egg stained area, with a clear water, blotting heavy so that the upholstery is going to feel dry to the touch.Repeat until you have gotten out all the suds and detergent from this stained area.

Rinse the upholstery one last time with a vinegar and water mixture; a half and half mixture works well. Spray the mixture on and blot if off, heavily blotting until the stain is gone and you are not bringing out any more suds from working on this egg stain.
