Fruit Punch. Tips to remove Fruit Punch stains on upholstery

Fruit Punch, with or with out carbonated soda can be quite a mess. Use this cleaning tip when you have a fruit punch stain on your upholstery.

The first important thing that you can do is to sop up the excess liquid, blotting and dabbing the area where the spill happened so you can focus just on the stain itself. You can use paper towels, sponges, or towels, what ever is going to sop up that liquid.

After you have soaked up the liquid, and if the stain is already dry, you can spray the area with clear water and then re blot the stained area. This is going to bring out more of the stain from the upholstery.

Keep repeating this step until you are unable to bring out any additional color from the punch or the stain is gone.

If you have a tough stain, make a mixture of water and clear; bleach free detergent and spray on the stained area. Blot and dab at the area to get the moisture out. Keep changing your towel so you always know if you are getting more of the punch out and you are not transferring the stain back onto the upholstery.

Rinse the upholstery by spraying it with clear water, getting all the suds out. Spray on the water, dab and blot with a clean towel so you are sopping up the additional moisture and liquid.

After you have done this a few times, so that you are not getting any more suds out of the upholstery you can move on.

Rinse the fabric one last time with a mixture of vinegar and water. A half and half mixture will work fine to clean any of the deep down stain out of the upholstery.
