Alcohol. Tips to remove Alcohol stains on upholstery

No matter what you are celebrating or if you are just relaxing in the house, alcohol spills on the upholstery are almost inevitable, but you can work out that alcohol stain fast and easy using these great cleaning tips.

If you have found the alcohol stain or spill while it is still wet, the first thing you will need to do is use a few paper towels and blot up any excess liquid that you can.

If the stain is already dry, wet the area with a few sprays of water, but without making the stained area too wet. Blot the area with a towel or paper towel to bring out the excess liquid and to start removing the stain.

Repeat this wetting and blotting, as needed, until you are no longer bringing out any of the alcohol stain or until the alcohol stain is gone.

If the alcohol stain is stubborn and remains after working with the water and blotting method, add a few drops of clear, bleach free liquid detergent to the water that you are using on the upholstery.

Spray just a bit on the upholstery and dab or blot off using towels or paper towels to bring out the excess moisture. Continue doing this to bring out the alcohol stain.

Rinse the upholstery with a clear water spray, blotting until you bring out all the suds and the moisture from the upholstery. This will bring out any remaining stains from the upholstery from the alcohol.

Rinse your upholstery using a mixture of half and half water and white vinegar (clear vinegar) to prevent the upholstery from holding back any of the detergent in the material.

Finally blot the wet area with a towel or paper towel until it is barely wet to touch.
