Quick fix for a grease spill

If you have spilled grease on your sofa or even in the car, sprinkle a bunch of salt on the area so you can soak up the grease before it gets to far into the upholstery. After the salt has soaked up the grease, you can sweep it up or brush it off and then work on the bit of grease that made it in the upholstery without rubbing even more in.

You can also use talcum powder close. If grease splatters on your shirt or pants, you can sprinkle a bit of talcum powder on the material and then rub the area until the grease is soaked in the powder, saving your favorite shirt for another day!
