My eyelashes have gotten longer and less of them fall out. The lashes remain stronger, and more flexible, take mascara and curl better. I apply a coat bottom and top of the lashes at night, and in the morning, wash it off in the shower. Just don't apply eye makeup while wearing the vaseline or your makeup will smudge TERRIBLY. Make sure it's all off before doing your eye makeup. Surely with all the stuff it can do shouldn't it be more expensive? As I said, Vaseline is a miracle! I am Asian and I have short and straight eyelashes. One day, I read the theory that Vaseline makes your eyelashes grow longer. And it does! I've been using Vaseline on my lashes for nearly a week now and the results are wonderful. I find it much easier to curl my eyelashes, and my eyelashes look really smooth, and most important notably longer! For those people who don't know how to apply it on, you just stick your index finger in the jar and take out a small bit. Put your finger in front of your eyelashes and blink so your eyelashes touch your finger. Keep blinking until you have covered your entire top lash with Vaseline. For the bottom lashes, just wipe on the Vaseline like you would wipe lip gloss on your lips, although you must be more gentle. I would also recommend using Vaseline on your eyebrows. If you have eyebrows that you would like to grow thicker, just wipe Vaseline on it. Also, it is quite good for shaping your eyebrows. Hope my advice has helped! <3   i hope vaseline works! YAY!   even helps with removal Comments By: JERI yes it works, and it even is the best thing for removing eye make-up. The way to put in on, take a q-tip and stick it in the jar. Apply it like the q-tip is your mascara. If you get to much on,wipe gently with a tissue. I never wore vaseline with mascara at the same time, that will end up in a smudgy mess. But don't get too frustated if you don't see the results right away. Everyone is different. Some have the results within a week. For some others, it takes weeks or even months. As a result ov the lashes being stronger, they are less prone to falling out so natruly grow longer. I immediately went and applied Vaseline to my sorry lashes. I think I remember doing this when I was a kid at school,(fingers crossed!) Also I read somewhere that Doris Day would smother her body in Vaseline each night for her beauty regime.   Substitute Make Up Remover. Comments By: SpecialSomething So one day, I ran out of eye make up remover. So I started panicking cause everyone said that if you leave make up over night, I'll be really harmful to your skin. Then I went online and searched on google and found out that you can use a Q-tip and dip it in Vaseline then carefully stroke your eyelashes the same way you apply mascara. It took about 5 mins on each eye, but it came off in the end. The next morning, while I was applying mascara on, I noticed that my eyelashes were longer AND thicker than before. I quickly searched on google again and I found this site. I put it on every night and day. I also found out another great thing. The next morning, I still had Vaseline on my eyelashes but I didn't bother getting it off. So I just put mascara over it. IT DIDNT CLUMP!   Accidental Discovery . . . So, I started applying vaseline on my on the scrape to heal it, and some of it inevitably got on my eyebrows. By Day 2, i started noticing that my right eyebrow was darker and better looking than my left eyebrow. So I googled "Vaseline on Eyebrows" and ran into you guys. Now, I have started applying it on both eyebrows and my eyelashes. Come to think of it, I re-call getting a make-over at MAC, and the Make-up artist advicing me to put vaseline on my eyebrows to grow them out. Back then, I thought she was crazy so I never tried it. I guess she was right afterall. Comments By: Pocahontas I recently read this, and i've now been applying vaseline on my eyelashes dialy and its working, also on my eyebrows, as i want thicker eyebrows, it also is really good for shaping them. So to me it sounds like vaseline has an effect on the speed of hairgrowth, or so it does for eylashes and eyebrows, this might sound crazy, but wont it then have the same effect on the hair on my head, say if i apply it to my roots, becuase i want to grow my hair and it just grows way to slowly. And yes it does work, i think by providing extra moisture so they dont become brittle as my lashes are nicer now then before i started using the extensions. They are long and shiny. It makes them alot smoother, and my bottom lashes curl in beautifully. I've always had compliments about my lashes. I think the weak lashes are the only ones falling out, and vaseline is not the reason. Back in the 1900's it was mix with soot, the first mascara began. I also use it as a face cream at night, you can not bet it for dry skin. I would suggest to put it every night before going to sleep, but not in the morning since it makes your lashes look very greasy (although if you apply mascara on them, it isn't as apparent). It has worked for my eyelashes and eyebrows (I think there are some tips about Castor Oil as well). It worked better on my lashes though (sometimes I think it's just my imagination that my eyebrows actually thickenned). Be careful not to put Vaseline everywhere since you can grow unwanted hair that way. Iv always been DESPERATE for long lashes :( anyhoo i didnt really notice any change but kept on trying. Iv been curling my eyelashes since i was 13...im 19 now, sometimes 1 or 2 would catch and fall out as they do with curlers, but in September i had 14, yes 14 lashes IN A ROW fall out in 1 day off 1 eye when i was curling, (i looked bizarre for weeks!!) the pad didnt need changing and theyre good ones, so i dont know why, id say only half have grown back, im still 'gappy' and now have smaller gaps (5 or 6 lashes in 2 parts) on the other eye. Im gutted by this but i cant find any other reason as to why my eyelashes would suddenly be falling out now after 6 years, than the vaseline. Sorry :(   I jus tried it out. Plus today, for the first time in my life, I got compliments on my eyelashes. I doubted that this would work and now I'm glad to be wrong. I can't wait to see how my eyelashes will look like 2 weeks from now :)   Its working so far Comments By: brittbaby So I saw something a couple weeks ago about using vaseline for longer,thicker brows and lashes.My eyelashes had been getting thinner so I needed a remedy.I been using the vasoline for 2 weeks now.I can tell that my eyebrows are growing hair in he bald spots and my eyelashes are darker.However when I apply the vaseline with a q tip, a lash or two falls out.I'm not too worried about one or two lashes falling out, as long as they grow back darker and thicker. Comments By: Kennedy so; i just bought vaseline today. my lashes have always been long, but, never thick. and, lately, they've been getting shorter, most likely because of the mascara i use. i was going to buy that Latisse stuff that everyone sees on TV, but, i figured i might as well try this since it is under $3, and latisse is about $80. i will probably check back in in about two months to let everyone know what the outcome is. im excited to try it, though! :)   Vaseline the New Mascara? One day, I read the theory that Vaseline makes eyelashes grow longer and I just had to walk into the bathroom and take out a jar! It works like magic! My eyelashes have always been naturally short! I've been using this stuff, a little bit on my eyebrows-its a little trick i learn to keep them in place and stop them moving around as i have very long, thick brows. But now i'm thinking that the vaseline helped keep that way and made them even thicker and lovley! i'm going to try the eyelash thing,got a feeling it'l do wonders too!I used have eyelashers most people evyed and often got asked if they were real!- but for some reason they've started to lack the lustre. I started this a couple of days ago, and even while i was applying it I could see that my eyelashes were curling up abit! I'm half chinese, and I have naturally short and straight lashes. Scince i've used Vaseline my eye lashes are deffinatley getting thicker and curling up more! It's great, even my friends are starting to notice! I apply it using one of those little eyebrow grooming brushes (like a bit of a tooth brush on one side and a little comb on the other). I slide the brush through the vaseline and hold it to my eye and blink, and then comb the little clumps out. It really is working great, I love it! I do it every night and apply a little in the morning before I do my make-up. I've also noticed i don't have clumps with my mascara now! Comments By: Britt Hey girls its been a month since I started using vaseline on my brows and lashes. At first I was like blah not seeing results accept for my eyelashes being softer. Today i noticed ,wow they look so much longer! Even without mascara, but when I put my mascara on i could really tell..they are so much longer,and have grown in where they were sparse before.Also, I been using it on my eyebrows cause they are sparse in areas,they didnt get darker but wow ..they have really filled in ...im used to using a eye pencil to draw in the bald patches but this time all I needed was a little brown mascara on them.I'm so happy with the results..now I wonder if i continue to use the vaseline if they will get even thicker and longer...we shall see...also wondering what vaseline could do for my thin hair line hmm   Need HELP!
