Candle Wax in your carpet. Remove the wax stain

Submitted by Heather E.

To get candle wax out of your carpet, lay a brown paper bag over it and iron with a hot iron. The wax will be absorbed into the paper and out of your carpet.

Removing candle wax in carpet by ironing with a brown paper bag works! You may need to use several pieces in the same spot. But just keep reapplying paper and ironing until wax is totally removed.

Useful - I have another option Comments By: Andy on 2005-03-30
Another option is to use a hair dryer and white kitchen paper - does the same job!!!

It worked beautifully!

Make sure you have a good supply of paper bags. I used lunch bags - they were the perfect size - and be patient. Keep ironing until the bags have soaked up all of the wax. I just spot cleaned with a carpet cleaner and it looks great.
