Excretment, Poop. Tips to remove Excretment, Poop stains

Accidents can happen for a variety of reasons, small children, someone is really sick, if you have pets, or possibly you have an over flow or a back up in the bathroom. Excretment stains may not be an easy one for your to tackle but you know you are going to have to, so using these methods you know your carpeting will be clean.

The first thing you need to do is use a plastic knife or a paper plate and scrape up as much of the excess poop on the floor that you can. When scraping, try not to push it further into the carpet or spread the stain in to other areas.

You will need to neutralize the area using a spray bottle with a half cup of ammonia and a cup of water or you can use a half cup of vinegar and a cup of water. Spray this on the poop stain and blot up, changing your towel around often so you are using a new piece of material as you are blotting up the moisture.

Next you will need to clean the area well. Using a spray bottle with two cups of warm water and about a tablespoon of dish liquid with out bleach, spray this over the area and blot up the moisture. Continue doing this until you are not bringing any more color up on your cloth.

Using a clear water spray, rinse out the carpet and dab with a dry towel so you are bringing up the soap and rinsing the carpet at the same time.

If you find that you have any remaining stain in the carpet, use your spray bottle and make a mixture of two cups of water and a cup of peroxide. Spray this on the carpet and leave it dry for a while.

After this is dry, use your clear water spray and rinse the area again while blotting at the same time and you will remove any remaining stain in the carpet.
