Candle Wax. Tips to remove Candle Wax stains from carpets

Burning candles in your home so you can have those great scents that you love sometimes can lead to accidents where you will find candle wax in your carpeting. Here are a few great tips on how to get candle wax out of your carpeting:

If you have a plastic knife, rubbing the cooled wax, you will be able to bring up a few bigger pieces of the wax and you can throw this away.

After you have gotten a few of the bigger pieces of wax out with out pulling on the carpet fibers too much you can move on and get the wax out that is a little deeper in the carpet.Start by using a paper grocery bag (because of the fibers) or a terry cloth towel (because of the multiple textures) place this over the candle wax stain on your carpeting. Using your iron, heat the area on low and the wax will transfer over to the bag or the cloth leaving your carpet good as new!

Be sure not to touch the iron directly on the carpet or you could melt it. If you have some dry cleaning fluid, dab this on the stained area and blot up with a clean cloth. Candle wax stains can be brought up gently using a dabbing motion with a few drops of rubbing alcohol.

The rubbing alcohol will get the coloring from the wax out of the carpeting. Use only small amounts of rubbing alcohol at a time on the candle wax to work it out carefully.
