Jewellery cleaning.

If your jewellery is a little sad then here are a few cost effective ways that you can give your jewelry a lift.

Cleaning and caring for your jewelry will be a breeze with these tips:

  • Prepare a small bowl of warm sudsy water with a mild liquid detergent. Gently brush the jewellery with a soft toothbrush while it is in the suds. Then rinse each piece under warm running water. Pat dry with a soft lint-free cloth.

  • In a small bowl, soak the jewellery in a half-and-half solution of cold water and household ammonia for thirty minutes. Lift out and gently tap around the front and back of the mounting with a small soft brush. Swish in the solution a second time, rinse and drain on tissue paper.

  • Using a large cup or bowl and filling it with water, add two denture tablets to the water. While the bubbling action is going on the jewelry is going to be getting cleaned, and letting it soak for about an hour will loosen any dirt in little cracks and lines.

  • Another method you can use is to take an old toothbrush and a bit of toothpaste (non gel type) and scrub your jewelry for a great shine! Rinsing with cold water and drying with a clean soft cloth will leave your jewelry streak free.
