mosquito repellant. Dryer sheet as a mosquito repellant

Submitted by debbie

To keep mosquitos away take any brand of dryer sheet. Rub the sheet over any exposed skin. When you are done stick the sheet in your pocket. This method has been tested against store bought repellants and works WAY better. And is alot safer for you children. And besides you'll smell springtime fresh all day.

Not so great Comments By: anon on 2005-04-19
It might smell good but it works for about 9 minutes max. Don't count on it to prevent bites or repel bugs.

unscented Comments By: Sue on 2005-04-25
Do unscented dryer sheets work?

TipKing says: Great question! I do not know though!

truly works Comments By: Jessica on 2008-09-03
My boyfriend's mom told me about this method , and it has been tried and true for over 5 months. If i'm sitting around outside, I just scatter them around me or drape them off a chair. Also tuck one into the back of your shirt. I swear they stay away. Also, I'm assuming it is the scented ones.

Anon's 5-star comment confused me - clarify please? Comments By: RVer Traveler on 2010-02-03

This isn't exactly a complete sentence: "It's great but can't beat bug repellent" [so why did it get 5 stars?] "because it all or most bugs off you than dryer sheets."

"Because it" [WHAT "it" is Anon referring to?] "all or most bugs off you than dryer sheets" [Because it (SOMETHING - BUG SPRAY OR DRYER SHEETS?) (DOES WHAT) to all or most bugs?]

Pronouns can really confuse people where 2 or more subjects/nouns are being talked about. I'm honestly interested in everyone's experiences with this method of bug control, if Anon happens to read this question (or someone else knows how to decipher his/her answer), and can tell me what it means. Thanks!

TipKing says: I know some comments can be quite cryptic, thanks for the comment
